We are interested in Intercellular Junctions, notably tight and gap junctions, which are involved in the regulation of transepithelial permeability and intercellular communication, respectively. Methods used include targeted gene ablation in mice, expression of cDNAs in tissue culture and mRNA and protein synthesis manipulation in Xenopus embryos.
